Licensure

The North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects administers and regulates registration of professional landscape architects in North Carolina.  The purpose of registration is the protection of public health, safety and welfare. To obtain a license to practice, the Board requires education, experience and successful completion of a national examination. In addition, each registrant must complete continuing education requirements prior to annual renewal of the license.

The following is a link to the North Carolina Board of Landscape Architects’ website with information on the General Statutes regulating the practice of landscape architecture in North Carolina. All affected individuals are encouraged to check with the NC Board of Landscape Architects website for any changes to licensure requirements.
