The Chair of the K–12 Program is responsible for planning, coordinating, and expanding outreach opportunities that connect professionals with K–12 students through educational speaking engagements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and coordinate speaking opportunities with local K–12 schools throughout the year.

• Attend the annual North Carolina School Counselor Conference to network with school counselors and educators, establish new contacts, and identify opportunities for future speaking engagements.

• Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteer speakers for school presentations.

• Serve as the primary liaison between participating schools and volunteer speakers to ensure successful events.

• Work with school staff and volunteers to confirm presentation logistics, schedules, and classroom needs.

• Ensure speakers receive all necessary presentation materials, resources, and event information prior to each engagement.

• Maintain communication with participating schools to foster ongoing relationships and promote future collaboration.

• Support the organization's mission by increasing student awareness of educational and career opportunities through engaging school-based program
