The Chair of the K–12 Program is responsible for planning, coordinating, and expanding outreach opportunities that connect professionals with K–12 students through educational speaking engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and coordinate speaking opportunities with local K–12 schools throughout the year.
Attend the annual North Carolina School Counselor Conference to network with school counselors and educators, establish new contacts, and identify opportunities for future speaking engagements.
Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteer speakers for school presentations.
Serve as the primary liaison between participating schools and volunteer speakers to ensure successful events.
Work with school staff and volunteers to confirm presentation logistics, schedules, and classroom needs.
Ensure speakers receive all necessary presentation materials, resources, and event information prior to each engagement.
Maintain communication with participating schools to foster ongoing relationships and promote future collaboration.
Support the organization's mission by increasing student awareness of educational and career opportunities through engaging school-based program
