Professional and Student award submissions are open to all ASLA Members and nonmembers, Associates, and Fellows in the state of NC, SC and GA. This includes Faculty members, and Students currently teaching or enrolled in NC, SC and GA landscape architecture programs. Entries are accepted from private practice, public agencies, and non-profit, local, state, and federal government entities. Entries from other professions are accepted pending pre-approval by the Awards Chair.

Special Award submissions are open to all ASLA members, Associates, and Fellows in the state of NC and SC, (Georgia will be holding their own Special Award Program at a separate date.) FAQ:

  • For Categories A, B, C, & G:

    • Project Summary should be just narrative - no images, logos, etc.

    • Project Documentation can include board-style layouts as one "page". No page size limits, but I encourage discretion on what will be legible and understandable on a computer screen for a juror. Also note the 1GB total file size limit which would presumably limit abuse.

    • Project Photography should be single images; however, if critical for context, a side-by-side would be acceptable. Just not looking for 20 pages of collages

  • In the case of student work since it's not built, students can use the Project Photography as additional items under Project Documentation, but I encourage keeping that limited to single images, plans, renders, etc.

  • Graduation in 2024 is the cutoff for being able to submit as a student.
