A Marsha Lynn Wyly, 77, a resident of Greenville’s Cypress Glenn, left her earthly body and went to be at home with the Lord on January 28, 2022. Her empathy for others and her compassionate responses displayed her kindness to everyone.

Services for Marsha will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Peace Presbyterian Church, at 301 Guiness Drive, Winterville with Pastor Rev. Debbie Osterhoudt officiating. This will be followed by a gravesite service at Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville. Marsha’s family will receive relatives and friends that day at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Marsha was a loving wife and caring mother, who enjoyed singing in church choirs. Marsha was also a very talented Landscape Architect. After receiving her Master of Landscape Architecture degree from NC State University she did extensive work in N.C. for three decades. She was asked to do work in other states as well; such as, the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, DC. She was appointed by several N.C. governors to various N.C. state boards, on which she served for many years. She was awarded the Special Recognition award from the NC Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 2015.

Marsha was born to William and Mary Hayes in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is survived by her husband Rev. Dr. Lemuel David Wyly, a resident of Greenville, NC, and her children Robin Wyly Nordman, a resident of Wake Forest, NC, and Gloria Wyly Mock and husband, Matthew, residents of Chapel Hill, NC. Robin’s children, Marsha’s grandchildren, are Christina, Jonathan, and Michael. Christina’s children, Marsha’s great-grandchildren, are Sarah, Bella, and Bentley.

She is survived by her sister Sue Treder and husband, Ralph, residents of Palm Coast, FL.; her brother Charles Hayes and wife, Elizabeth, residents of Roper, N.C.; her brother Pat Hayes, and wife, Barbara, residents of Palm Coast, FL. Marsha was preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Hayes.
